1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1–2 teaspoons water


Instructions

1. Peel, core, and dice apples. Toss with cinnamon and sugar.
2. Mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar in a bowl.
3. Whisk egg, milk, and vanilla in a separate bowl.
4. Combine wet and dry mixtures until just mixed.
5. Fold in apples gently.
6. Scoop batter onto parchment-lined baking sheet.
7. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15–18 minutes until golden.
8. Mix powdered sugar, lemon juice, and water for glaze.
9. Drizzle glaze over cooled fritters and serve warm.

Notes

Use pears or peaches instead of apples if desired.
Substitute gluten-free flour blend to make it gluten-free.
Adjust glaze thickness with sugar or water.
